Jamie Corbin CD(DONA)
Jamie became a mom nearly five years ago and quickly became passionate about supporting other parents as they made the same transition. She has been attending births for three and half years, with intermittent breaks to grow her own family to include three daughters under the age of five.
When it comes to birth work, Jamie's primary focus is on helping her clients understand how to advocate for themselves so that they can make informed choices about their family's care. She listens carefully to hear the underlying needs of her clients and works diligently to meet those needs. Because of this she has found herself serving in a range of ways, all the way from background support person to primary support person, in a variety of experiences ranging from home birth to cesarean birth.
Because of the busy family life season Jamie is in, and the spontaneity of birth work schedules, Jamie is only scheduling birth clients for 2019. However, she is currently available for scheduled childbirth education and placenta encapsulation services.
If you are interested in chatting with Jamie about working together, she offers a free consultation and never turns down an opportunity to spend time in a coffee shop.
Private childbirth education - Education is one of Jamie's biggest passions, and it pairs well with supporting families through the transitions of pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum recovery. She's excited to offer expectant families flexibility and choice with private, in-home childbirth education modules. Each module is approximately 90 minutes in length and they are designed to be hands on, interactive, and rich with resources. Expectant families can choose to invest in any combination of the modules, but a bonus guided birth rehearsal will be included with no extra cost to those who complete all four.

Placenta Encapsulation - Did you know that your placenta takes over your brain's job during pregnancy when it comes to producing and distributing certain hormones to your body? And, when you deliver your placenta, it takes your brain a while to realize it needs to get back to work! Encapsulating your placenta can help you find hormonal support during the immediacy of your postpartum recovery. Placenta encapsulation services occur in your home.
