Erica Evans is a trained Doula through DONA International. She is located in South Meridian and serves the broader Treasure Valley, attending home, hospital and birth center births. She believes birth is a transformative experience, not just physically but mentally, emotionally and spiritually. Her goal is to provide personalized support to ensure her clients have a joyful, empowering birth.

Welcome! You will never regret the decision to hire a Doula. My background is as a professional communicator, working for 10+ years as a journalist and in corporate communications. But childbirth is my passion, which I discovered through two transformative births of my own! I know that knowledge and preparation are critical for a birthing mother. As a Doula, I’ll be there to make sure you have the support and information you need, when you need it, so you feel empowered to make the best decisions for you and your baby. I’ll do this by getting to know you and your birth preferences and advocating for your desired plan. My goal is to help you achieve your birth, YOUR way. I'm excited to meet you! • First prenatal visit We’ll visualize what you want your birth to look like, discuss which interventions and comfort measures you do or do not want, and work together to craft your birth plan 
• Second prenatal visit The second visit will be a birth rehearsal, where we’ll practice labor positions, pain management techniques, relaxation methods and more to help you feel confident ahead of your baby’s birthday. 
• Unlimited support via phone and text Whatever questions or emotions arise during pregnancy and postpartum, I’m here to be your support and sounding board. 
• Continuous, hands-on coaching and support throughout labor and birth A birth with me can include any of the following and more, according to your preferences: 
  • In-home labor support 
  • Setting up a personalized, calming birthing environment 
  • Position coaching
  • Counterpressure 
  • Healing touch / massage 
  • Aromatherapy 
  • Meditations 
  • Affirmations

  • Complementary photos and video, unedited
  • ​A 5-minute birth video, shot on DSLR and iPhone and edited to music, is available for an additional $100
    
• One postpartum visit to debrief birth, provide lactation support, help your transition to new motherhood and provide references for additional care if needed.
