Annina, owner of Gentle Grace Doula Services, spent the first twenty years of her life living in the Treasure Valley and never had plans to leave, until her husband joined the Air Force. After living in Germany for the last five years, Annina is thrilled to be back in Boise providing labor support to the birthing people of the Treasure Valley. Annina recently completed her DONA-Approved Birth Doula training through Bastyr University and is currently working toward her certification through DONA International. She cannot wait to begin helping the birthing people of the Treasure valley and their loved ones through the transformative process of bringing new life into the world.
While living in Germany during my husband's service with the Air Force, I had the opportunity to learn about birth in many different cultures, and even hear about the many different birth experiences of other women from the United States. I have always had a passion for the miracle of birth, and been awe-inspired by the ability to bring new life into the world. However, In 2018, I had the privilege of witnessing the birth of a dear friend's first baby, and I knew I wanted to become more involved in the birth world. After the birth of my own daughter in 2021, I felt a true calling to join in the work of making birth a positive experience, however you define it. I believe birth is a sacred, vulnerable process, and I am honored that you are considering having me present. |
