Hello! My name is Capri and I am SO thrilled to talk about what your wants and needs are for your birth and postpartum period. I have two biological kiddos and an amazing bonus kid! In 2017, after having my first born I realized the importance of doulas. It was a difficult birth, but having my support team surrounding me, I knew we could achieve my birth goals. This ignited my desire to support families in their transitions. |
Training: DONA International Birth Doula Workshop
Postpartum Doula Services: Birth: As a birth doula, I am giving non-medical support to the birthing parent and family during the labor and delivery. This looks different for each family based on their individual needs. I can assist with communication between you and your providers. This is done to ensure that you have the level of information you need to make an informed decision with the birth of your child. I have been trained in how body movement affects labor and pregnancy, this is useful during labor to help baby get into optimal positioning for birth. Relaxation, positioning, breathing, and more techniques are used to empower you and allow for the possibility of an ideal birthing experience. I am an independent contractor and only work for YOU, not your provider or birthing place. Postpartum: ● Prenatal Support o Text support o 1-3 Prenatal visits to prepare for the new addition ● Meal preparation ● Light cleaning (dishes, laundry, tidying up house, etc.) ● Time for the birth parent to care for themselves (shower, walk, nap, etc.) ● Shopping for groceries with you or utilizing online orders for delivery. ● Assistance with recovery (cesarean and vaginal deliveries) ● Help building support team ● Resources to make informed decisions ● Emotional support ● Pet transition support (playing, brushing, or walking) ● Breastfeeding and pumping support ● Infant care and support ● Sibling care (playtime, activities, emotional support, etc.) ● Weekly postpartum mental health screening (both parents) Fees: Birth Doula Services: $950 Postpartum Doula Services: $30/hr Contact: Email: [email protected] |
