Heather Lee is working toward her birth doula certification, after completing the DONA Workshop in February 2020. She is offering doula work at a reduced rate until I’m fully certified, with hopes of providing a win- win situation for families who want a doula at a reduced cost, while entrusting me the opportunity to gain experience.
I have always enjoyed hearing birth stories of any woman willing to share with me! Each baby has their own unique birth story, and to some degree, I believe that their birth story will reflect a bit of their own personality!
I’ve been married to my best friend, Clay, for 17 years. Our four beautiful (mostly grown) children are the center of our lives. As a Boise native, I have loved seeing the growth and community of the Treasure Valley. Having a dance background of 30 + years, gives me an insight of how a woman’s body can naturally work for itself. My focus is empowering you to tune into your own body by tapping into the strength and magnificence of what a woman’s body is capable of!
Although not certified in American Sign Language (ASL), I am expanding the use of my hands, to better communicate with the deaf and hard of hearing community.
Birth work has been calling to me from a young age and it is now my time to pursue my dream. I look forward to the opportunity of bringing partners closer together in one of the most memorable days of their lives. I hope to work with both parents- to- be, to help find their comfort level when providing comfort measures; encouraging and supporting their choices of navigation, of their birth day.
