I will be taking a nurturing and intentional break from accepting birth and postpartum clients due within the timeframe of 9/1/2026 - 1/1/2027 to focus on my health, my heart and my home.

I will begin accepting new clients for January 2027 and beyond. Availability is limited, so I encourage you to reach out once you get those two pink lines!

Leah Heinz is a DONA International–certified birth and postpartum doula, a HypnoBirthing Parent Educator, and the Secretary for Treasure Valley Doulas’ Board of Directors (2026–2027). She is deeply committed to supporting women in achieving the birth experience they envision, approaching each journey with care, respect, and reverence for how sacred and transformative birth can be.
With a passion for HypnoBirthing, homebirth, and natural hospital births, Leah wholeheartedly believes in you and in your innate ability to birth your baby—your way.

Hello and welcome! My name is Leah Heinz, and it is truly an honor to be considered as your doula. Pregnancy, birth, and postpartum are sacred seasons, and I am grateful to be invited into such meaningful moments with you and your family. Eighteen years ago, as a teenage mother welcoming my first son, my own birth experience profoundly shaped my life and inspired my lifelong calling to support others through this powerful journey.
As your doula, my goal is to help you feel confident, empowered, and fully prepared. From our first meeting on, my intention is for you to feel supported, safe, and deeply cared for every step of the way.

Text/email/phone support from time of hire
On call from 38 weeks
Two prenatal appointments (1-2 hours each) 

• Discussing your ideal birth experience 
• Learning and practicing comfort techniques 
• Running through the stages and phases of labor 
• Creating a birth and/or postpartum preference list
• Discuss and work on processing any fears or anxieties regarding birth (you and your partners)
• Providing hypnobirthing resources if interested

Continuous support during labor and delivery 

• Emotional, mental and physical support
• Encouragement, words of affirmation etc
• Physical touch (massage, counter pressure, comfort tools, heat etc)
• Spotify birth playlist (can be customized to your preferences) 
• Birth photos/videos on your device or mine
• Encouragement and support for birth partner
• 1-2 hours of immediate postpartum care (lactation, infant care, emotional support) 

One postpartum visit (1-2 hours) 
(To be arranged 2-10 days after birth)

• Lactation services/ Baby feeding questions or concerns   
• Help you debrief after the birth 
• Care for baby while you shower or sleep 
• Assist with anything you feel will help you settle in and feel supported better in the postpartum period

One Hypnobirthing Series
(5) virtual classes (2-3 hours each) 1 class per week

• Unit #1 SETTING THE STAGE: 
• Dehypnotizing and building a positive expectancy
• Unit #2 FALLING IN LOVE WITH YOUR BABY:
• Pre birth parenting; preparing your mind and body
• Unit #3 ADVANCED VISUALIZATION AND DEEPENING
• Unit #4 OVERVIEW AND SUMMARY OF CHILDBIRTH
• Unit #5 BIRTHING - THE FINAL ACT AND BONDING

One in home prenatal appointment - 1-2 hours
at or around 34-37 weeks

• Discussing your ideal birth experience
