Leah is a DONA international certified birth and postpartum doula. She sits on the board of directors for Treasure Valley Doulas as Vice President.  She is trained in spinning babies as well as embarking on the journey to becoming a Hypnobirthing Parent educator in the fall of 2024! 

She is enthusiastic about supporting women to achieve the birth experience they desire. She knows that these moments are precious and doesn’t take the opportunity supporting you lightly. She is passionate about hypnobirthing, Homebirth, and natural hospital birthing. She believes in you, and your ability to birth your baby YOUR WAY! 

Hello and welcome! 
My name is Leah Heinz. It is a privilege to be considered as your doula. I believe the time of pregnancy and after is sacred and I feel honored to be included in those moments with you and your family. 16 years ago, when I delivered my first son as a teen mom, I knew that I was forever changed by the birthing process and wanted to devote my life to it. My goal as your doula is to help you feel confident, empowered and prepared to achieve your ideal labor and delivery. I want you to feel loved, safe and supported from the moment we meet. ​

Free consultation (in person or virtually)
Text/email/phone support from time of hire
On call from 38 weeks
Two prenatal appointments (1-2 hours each) 

• Discussing your ideal birth experience 
• Learning and practicing comfort techniques 
• Running through the stages and phases of labor 
• Creating a birth and/or postpartum preference list
• Discuss and work on processing any fears or anxieties regarding birth (you and your partners)
• Providing hypnobirthing resources if interested

Continuous support during labor and delivery 

• Emotional, mental and physical support
• Encouragement, words of affirmation etc
• Physical touch (massage, counter pressure, comfort tools, heat, ice etc)
• Spotify birth playlist (can be customized to your preferences) 
• Birth photos/videos on your device or mine
• Encouragement and support for birth partner
• 1-2 hours of immediate postpartum care (lactation, infant care, emotional support) 

One postpartum visit (1-2 hours) 
(To be arranged 2-10 days after birth)

• Lactation services/ Baby feeding questions or concerns   
• Help you debrief after the birth 
• Assist with some light housework and tidying, food prep  
• Care for baby while you shower or sleep 
• Assist with anything you feel will help you settle in and feel supported better in the postpartum period

Additional prenatal visits - $45 per hour
Include but not limited to:

• Meal prep/freezer meals
• Prepping nursery/labor bag/nursing station
• Making bath bombs/sitz bath
• Shower registry assistance/personal shopping

(all additional services to include mother unless otherwise arranged) 

Additional postpartum visits

• Daytime postpartum support $45/hour
• Nighttime infant care $45/hour ($5 more per infant per hour)
• Infant eating observation/lactation support
• Baby care basics

Postpartum Services:

Daytime Support: $45/hr

• Lactation services/infant feeding questions or concerns    
• Help you debrief after the birth 
• Assist with some light housework and tidying, food prep, grocery order pickup   
• Care for baby while you shower or sleep 
• Assist with anything you feel will help you settle in and feel better supported
• Baby care basics

Night time Support: $45/Hr

• Lactation services/ Baby feeding questions or concerns 
• Baby care basics
• Establishing a night time routine
• Support allowing for quality sleep
• Recommendations as you adjust to a new sleep schedule
• Safe sleep practices, restful feeding positions
