Melinda Williams
Melinda is a trained Birth Doula through DONA International and is working towards her certification. Melinda can attend births at homes, hospitals, and birth centers. She was born and raised in Southcentral Alaska and made her way to Idaho in 2021 with her husband. She has a background in caregiving after being a professional nanny for several years and believes that her history and experience caring for families has shaped her into a versatile, loving, and dedicated doula. While young and new to birth work, she is eager to help support women and birthing people through their pregnancies, in birth, and in any way that she can. She believes in the power of informed choice and is devoted to helping create a satisfying and empowering birth experience for Parents and Moms.
Hello, my name is Melinda (Mel) Williams! Congratulations on your pregnancy! Thank you for considering me in your journey to find a doula! Ever since I was a child, I’ve had a natural inclination towards caregiving. As I got older this developed into a love and deep passion for childcare and serving families. My experience as a nanny showed me how life changing proper support for families can be. Once I moved to Idaho and discovered the world of birth work, I knew I found my purpose and was so thrilled and inspired to serve families through their pregnancies and births. I believe that pregnancy and birth can often be one of the most vulnerable yet exciting experiences that a person can go through. With that can come so many different emotions and challenges to tackle. Maybe today you’re elated, maybe you’re scared, maybe you’re both! Either way, I’d like to be there to help support your new journey into parenthood. My job and passion is to provide physical, emotional, and informational support during your pregnancy and birth, as well as preparing for after birth. So, let’s talk about what that support looks like, to you! |
